The girl, likely Julia Holcomb, sued Tyler in 2022. She accused him of sexual assault, sexual battery, and emotional distress. Holcomb claimed that Tyler persuaded her mother to let him become her guardian. She also said she became pregnant and that Tyler forced her to have an abortion.

Although Tyler did not name himself in the lawsuit, he denied the allegations. He claimed their relationship was consensual and argued that he had legal immunity as her guardian. He requested the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
