Lock Your Galaxy Watch’s Screen
Table of Contents
To protect your personal data, you can lock your Galaxy Watch. This option requires a PIN or passcode to unlock.
Go to Settings > Security and privacy, then select Lock Type.
Choose between a pattern lock or a PIN lock. A pattern offers medium security, while a PIN offers medium-high security.
Draw the pattern or enter the passcode, then confirm it.
After setting it up, you’ll need to enter the passcode each time after wearing the watch.
Enable Wrist Gestures
Your Galaxy Watch supports wrist gestures for various tasks, such as answering calls and silencing alarms.
To enable wrist gestures, go to Settings > Advanced Features, then find the Gestures section.
You can choose to answer calls, dismiss alerts, or quickly launch apps.
For example, tilt your forearm up and down to answer a call. Rotate your wrist twice to decline a call or dismiss an alert, and flex your wrist twice to open an app.
Enable Hourly Chime to Keep Track of Time
Missing the hourly chime? Your Galaxy Watch can provide this feature.
Navigate to Settings > Sound and Vibration, then select System Sounds.
Scroll to find Hourly chime and enable it.
Your watch will now chime at the start of every hour.
Limit Notifications on Your Galaxy Watch
To reduce app notifications, you can manage which notifications you want to receive on your Galaxy Watch.
Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and go to Watch Settings.
Select Notifications, then App Notifications.
Disable the “All apps” toggle and enable notifications for only the apps you want.
Customize the Home and Back Keys
You can change the functions of the home and back buttons on your Galaxy Watch.
Go to Settings > Advanced Features, then select Customize Buttons.
Tap Double Press under the Home button to set its function.
Choose an action, such as opening a specific app or using an accessibility shortcut.
