The southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway will close for maintenance from Friday night to Monday morning. The closures involve full freeway shutdowns on Friday and Sunday nights, with lane reductions over the weekend.

Friday:

  • All southbound lanes will close from 10 p.m. to 4:01 a.m. Saturday for k-rail installation and temporary striping.

Saturday:

  • Two southbound lanes will remain open from 4:01 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday:

  • All southbound lanes will close again from 11 p.m. to 5:01 a.m. Monday to remove k-rail and restripe the freeway.

Monday:

  • All southbound lanes will reopen by 5:01 a.m.

Additionally, the following closures will occur:

  • The northbound and southbound I-5 connectors to southbound I-605 will close from 8 p.m. Friday to 5:01 a.m. Monday.
  • The Florence Avenue and Telegraph Road on-ramps to southbound I-605 will close from 8 p.m. Friday to 6:01 a.m. Monday.

Detours:
During full closures, traffic will be redirected to local roads. Caltrans recommends using alternate routes like the 110, 710, and 57 Freeways to avoid delays.
