Magnitude 7.0 earthquake Shakes Northern California, Tsunami threat Subsides
Sacramento, CA – A powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Northern California early Tuesday morning, jolting residents awake and triggering a tsunami warning for parts of the West Coast. The quake, centered approximately 200 miles northwest of Sacramento, was felt as far south as San Francisco and as far east as Nevada.
