On August 28, the “Xijiu My University” Dream Pursuit Scholarship Award Ceremony, one of the 2024 Shaanxi Hope Project Dream-Fulfilling Hand-in-Hand Actions, was held at the Chang’an Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University. 70 college freshmen in Shaanxi Province each received a one-time grant of 5,000 yuan from the Hope Project.

The event was guided by the Provincial Youth League Committee and co-organized by the Provincial Hope Project Public Welfare Volunteer Guidance Center, the Provincial Youth Development Foundation and other units. Before the ceremony, representatives of the assisted freshmen visited the History Museum of Northwestern Polytechnical University and the Military Quality Education Practice Center for study. The Communist Youth League of Xi’an Municipal Committee expressed its sincere gratitude to the caring companies for their donations to the Shaanxi Hope Project. Yan Hengxing, a representative of the assisted freshmen from Weiyang District, Xi’an, said: “Thanks to the help and support of the Hope Project, I will continue to study hard and work hard in college with a grateful heart, and contribute to the development of my hometown in the future.”

It is reported that over the past 19 years, the Shaanxi Hope Project has raised more than 210 million yuan to help more than 79,000 students from poor families realize their college dreams and provide more than 15,000 loving jobs for students in need. It has become a public welfare brand project of the Shaanxi Hope Project’s “Seven Assistances, One Degree Action” to serve young people in need. (Liu Qianyu)
