75-Year-Old Jacksonville Man Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-95
A 75-year-old Jacksonville man died Friday night after driving his vehicle in the wrong direction on Interstate 95 and colliding with two other vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred on September 19, 2026, on Interstate 95. State troopers reported that three other individuals sustained injuries in the multi-vehicle collision resulting from the wrong-way travel.
Emergency responders and investigators arrived at the scene following the incident, which closed portions of the interstate as authorities cleared the wreckage and documented the crash site.
The identity of the 75-year-old driver has not been publicly released pending notification of family members. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding how the vehicle entered the interstate traveling in the wrong direction.
