76ers Defeat Suns in Phoenix, Embiid Leads the Way

PHOENIX, AZ – February 7, 2026 – The Philadelphia 76ers secured a 109-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center on Saturday night. Joel Embiid led all scorers with 33 points, adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists, while Tyrese Maxey contributed 29 points to the winning effort.

The 76ers’ win marked their sixth victory in the last seven games, a bounce-back performance following a 119-115 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers two nights prior. The Suns, meanwhile, suffered their third defeat in four games, struggling significantly from three-point range.

Philadelphia established a commanding lead early, going into the fourth quarter ahead 81-71. They extended that advantage to 16 points after holding Phoenix scoreless for the first three minutes of the final period. Despite a late surge from the Suns, spearheaded by Devin Booker, the 76ers were able to maintain control.

Booker, returning to the lineup after missing seven games with a sprained ankle, finished with 21 points and 9 assists. Jalen Green also made his return, playing in just his sixth game of the season after battling injuries, and contributed 8 points in 17 minutes off the bench. However, their return wasn’t enough to overcome the 76ers’ strong performance.

The Suns’ shooting woes were particularly evident from beyond the arc, where they connected on only 11 of 46 three-point attempts (23.9%). Dillon Brooks led Phoenix in scoring with 28 points, while Royce O’Neale and Mark Williams each recorded double-doubles with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively.

Embiid’s performance was notable not only for his scoring but also for his physical play and interactions with Suns forward Dillon Brooks throughout the game. He was efficient from the field, making 11 of 13 free throws.

Former Sun Kelly Oubre Jr. Also made a significant contribution for the 76ers, finishing with 18 points.

The 76ers’ strong first-half performance set the tone for the game, leading 58-47 at halftime. The Suns initially struggled with their shooting, making only one of their first 19 three-point attempts before briefly finding their rhythm with three consecutive makes.

With the win, the 76ers improved to 30-22 on the season. The Suns fell to 31-22.

The 76ers will continue their road trip, traveling to Portland to face the Trail Blazers on Monday night. The Suns will return home to host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
