Kolkata Celebrates 77th Republic Day with military Parade
Kolkata’s red Road hosted the 77th Republic Day parade on monday, showcasing the strength and preparedness of India’s armed forces. West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose received the salute as contingents from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force marched, accompanied by military bands. The event was also attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, and members of the state cabinet.

A key feature of this year’s parade was the participation of the newly formed 6th Bhairav Battalion. according to the Press Trust of India [PTI], the battalion’s inclusion highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing modernization efforts, focusing on increased agility, speed, and the integration of advanced technology.
