Khara Inc. Selects Wasabi as Cloud Storage Provider

BOSTON & TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Hot Cloud Storage Wasabi Technologies and Khara Inc., the Japan-based film production company behind the hit anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, today announced that it has selected Wasabi as its cloud storage provider to migrate its business operations and 500 TB of archived data from on-premises to the cloud. Wasabi’s low-cost, high-performance cloud storage service will reduce Khara’s management and operating costs by approximately 80%, allowing the company’s systems department to focus on more important system planning and management tasks.

Khara has amassed a massive archive of image and video files over its 18-year history, including episodes of the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime and other productions. To avoid hardware failures, Khara turned to Wasabi to keep its data safe and control costs.
