Tony and Emmy Award-winning performer Billy Crystal is returning to Broadway this fall in a new autobiographical one-man show titled 860
. The production, written and performed by Crystal, is scheduled to begin previews in October 2026 at a Shubert Theater that has not yet been announced.
The production will be directed by Olivier Award-winner Scott Ellis and is slated for a strictly limited 12-week engagement. The show is being produced by a team including Janice Crystal, James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid, and Face Productions.
The Inspiration Behind ‘860’
The title of the show refers to the street address of Crystal’s longtime California home, which was destroyed in the 2025 Palisades Fire. This blaze, along with the Eaton fires, was among the most destructive in the history of California.

Crystal lived at the residence for 46 years. In a statement regarding the new project, he described the show as a challenging
piece that serves as a joyous and heartfelt visit
into the home and the experiences that occurred there.
860 was the address of the home we lost in the Palisades fires. We lived there for 46 years. I invite you to come inside 860 and I’ll tell you all the funny and touching things that happened there, not only in my career but to our family. It’s a joyous and heartfelt visit, about how with the love of family and friends and your inner strength, you can get through tough times.

Crystal’s Broadway History
This production marks Crystal’s first return to the Broadway stage in four years, following his appearance in Mr. Saturday Night
in 2022. That production was a stage musical version of his 1992 film, for which Crystal penned the book and reprised his role as Buddy Young, Jr., with music provided by Jason Robert Brown.
The 2022 musical earned Crystal two Tony Award nominations, specifically for his Leading Performance and for the production’s Book.
The new show 860
follows a previous successful venture into autobiographical solo performance on Broadway. In 2004, Crystal debuted with 700 Sundays
, a work adapted from a memoir focusing on the relationship with his father, who died when Crystal was 15. 700 Sundays
won Crystal a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event and returned for an encore run in 2013.
