Nine Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip despite a standing ceasefire agreement, according to medical and emergency sources.

The Gaza Civil Defense and Emergency Directorate confirmed that an airstrike targeted a tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing three people, including a woman and two children identified as Layan Abu Shaqra and brothers Abdullah and Omar al-Abadlah, aged 5 and 7.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital later reported receiving the bodies of the woman and two children following the attack, after which the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza stated the death toll from that strike had risen to four.

In northern Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp, a drone strike on a school sheltering displaced families killed one Palestinian man and wounded eight others, including children, according to Gaza’s Medical Services Directorate.

The directorate also reported three Palestinians wounded when an Israeli drone targeted the Khalifa School, another displacement shelter in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.

Additional attacks were reported in the al-Attar area of Khan Younis and northwest of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, each resulting in one Palestinian death and several injuries, according to medical sources.

Earlier the same day, Israeli gunfire killed a girl in the Jabalia camp and a young man in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, contributing to the overall toll of casualties.

Al-Mawasi has been designated by Israel as a “safe zone,” yet it has continued to come under attack, underscoring the vulnerability of designated humanitarian areas amid ongoing hostilities.

The strikes occurred amid ongoing violations of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement, with Israeli forces conducting airstrikes, drone attacks, home demolitions, and artillery shelling across multiple regions of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces launched fresh airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing at least nine Palestinians in what witnesses and medical sources describe as targeted attacks on civilian areas despite a standing ceasefire agreement.
