Vietnam’s EdTech Trailblazers: How Local Startups Are Revolutionizing Global Education

Vietnam’s EdTech Trailblazers: How Local Startups Are Revolutionizing Global Education

November 4, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor Business

Starting a business is a difficult journey, and according to many studies, within the first five years, more than 95% of startups around the world have to close for various reasons.

In order to ensure that students are well prepared in the field of entrepreneurship, Van Rann University organizes the seminar “Startup – Start Local, Think Global”, where they will interact with successful professionals and reputable corporate leaders. I set up an opportunity.

From there, students aspiring to start a business can access in-depth knowledge, valuable experience, and most importantly, gain practical and meaningful lessons for their future journeys.

Many young people gathered to participate in the discussion.

Le Dinh Luc, CEO of DOL English Thinking English System, recalled while interacting with the thousands of students who attended the seminar: “I was originally a math student, but I changed direction when I decided to overcome the ‘problem’ of learning English on my own. So far, I have received a startup model, a Linear Thinking English method certified by the National Intellectual Property Office, and a super technology system, SuperLMS, from a man from a “mountain town”.

Before the coronavirus outbreak broke out, Le Dinh Luk made a decision that had everyone shaking their heads. In 2019, he refused a doctoral course scholarship in Australia in order to persistently develop his “random idea” class for teaching English using the linear thinking method he had created. By yourself. Currently, his center has up to one location in each region of the country and is exploring opportunities to expand its model into international markets.

According to Le Dinh Luc, Vietnamese startups are ready to take on the global market, especially in the field of technology education (edtech), and must prepare essential competitive advantages.

Our top priority is the superiority of our products. Edtech startups need to invest deeply in content, build unique and effective teaching methods, and then build a team of teachers qualified to best communicate these methods.

Mr. Le Dinh Luk expressed his opinion during the debate.

The second element needed for startups in this day and age is technology. When products enter international markets, technology products need to be different and creative compared to competitors in the same industry.

The challenges of marketing, communication, sales, legal affairs, and operations in overseas markets are enormous. However, if they can take advantage of product quality, teaching methods, and teaching staff, Vietnamese education technology startups will be able to compete fairly and effectively.
