Suspicious Armed with Chainsaw Cuts Trees in LA

Chainsaw-Wielding ⁢Vandal Targets ‌Downtown‍ Los Angeles Trees

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A wave of vandalism in downtown Los Angeles left several⁣ trees felled overnight,​ sparking outrage among residents. Authorities are investigating the incidents, ⁤believed to be ⁤the work of a suspect on a bicycle armed with a chainsaw.

The ‌incidents were first brought to light through social media. “Some ‍piece of you​ already know what decided to go around ​last night, ⁤cutting​ trees ​throughout the center of Los Angeles,” stated a ‍video posted on the⁤ Instagram account @Dtlainsider.

Half moussavy, who operates ⁢the @Dtlainsider ‍account and has resided downtown‍ since 2017, expressed his dismay to KABC, ​stating, “Any person who does this is an act of destruction.”

Initially,upon hearing about the‌ downed trees,Moussavy said ‍he assumed it ​was part of a city cleanup effort. However, he soon⁢ realized the extent of the damage.

“He began to receive photos from many different people in​ the influencers space, the space of the city center, saying: ‘Did you see what they did last night?'” Moussavy recounted.

The vandal targeted trees in multiple locations,including⁤ Grand Avenue and Wells Fargo Center,Olympic Street and Figueroa Boulevard,Broadway and Cesar⁣ Chavez Avenue,and Grand ⁤Avenue and Fifth Street.

The Los ​Angeles Police Department is investigating the ‍incidents and seeking ⁢details from the public. Anyone‌ with information is‌ urged to contact ⁣the authorities.
