Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering sector has experienced significant ⁣growth, expanding eightfold in the ⁣last five years. This surge is primarily ​fueled by increasing demand for ‌household appliances and solar components.

The Uzeltechsanoat association reports that the industry generated 2.1 billion euros in 2024. Notably, half of this revenue came from exports. The sector currently employs ⁢over 85,000 people.

A major contributor to this growth is the Texnopark complex, a manufacturing hub housing 17 facilities. These facilities collectively produce 1.4 million items each year, ranging from ⁢home appliances to industrial heating systems.

Cable manufacturer Artikul Aziya Kabel aims to increase it’s European exports by 40% over the next two years. The company is⁢ receiving support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Progress to achieve this goal.

The sector anticipates continued expansion,projecting annual export volumes to reach almost 2.7 billion euros.
