India is set to⁣ host ‍the next BRICS Parliamentary Forum in 2026, according to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla. the announcement followed the 11th BRICS⁣ Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, where member ​nations issued a joint declaration condemning the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

The BRICS⁤ nations—including Brazil, Russia, india, china, and South Africa—advocated ⁤for a collective⁤ global approach and a zero-tolerance policy regarding terrorism. ⁢Discussions also centered on artificial intelligence and enhanced economic cooperation among‌ member states.

Birla ⁤expressed gratitude to Brazil for hosting ⁢the summit. He affirmed India’s commitment to ensuring a⁣ productive and successful ​event in 2026.the upcoming forum aims to set the agenda for future collaboration.
