India is set to host the next BRICS Parliamentary Forum in 2026, according to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla. the announcement followed the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, where member nations issued a joint declaration condemning the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
The BRICS nations—including Brazil, Russia, india, china, and South Africa—advocated for a collective global approach and a zero-tolerance policy regarding terrorism. Discussions also centered on artificial intelligence and enhanced economic cooperation among member states.
