Stella Maria, Galway and Corofin, Co. Galway
Sr. Bernardine died peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St. Patrick’s Ward, University Hospital Galway on January 16th, 2026, surrounded by her community and family. she was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Gertrude (Regan), and her sisters, Sr. Mary (Little company of Mary) and Evelyn (Connolly). She is deeply regretted and fondly remembered by the Sisters of Mercy in Stella Maria and the Western Branch, her brother Tomás and his wife Eileen, her nephew Seán, her grandnephews Matthew and Adam, and her many friends in Ireland and San Diego.

Reposing in Stella Maria (H91 XY93) on January 20th (Tuesday) from 3:30pm to 5pm. Arrival on January 21st (Wednesday) at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam (H54 WP66), for Mass of the Resurrection at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery,Tuam.
