Iran ⁤Declines ‌US Talks, Strengthens Ties with Lebanon

Iranian Foreign Minister ⁤Seyed Abbas Araqchi stated on Wednesday⁢ that current conditions are unsuitable for negotiations⁤ with the⁤ United States, citing Washington’s policies as the primary ‌obstacle. He emphasized that Iran’s internal‌ affairs ⁤are solely ​the concern of the Iranian people. Reuters reported on this statement, noting ⁣Araqchi’s response to US President Donald​ Trump’s remarks and support for ‌recent protests.

Internal Dialog ⁤and‍ Past Negotiations

He affirmed Iran’s past‍ willingness to engage in talks ‍based on mutual respect and shared interests, but indicated that such an approach is currently lacking within the US administration. Strengthening Iran-Lebanon Relations

In a separate announcement, Araqchi revealed plans to travel to Lebanon on Thursday. He underscored the long-standing relationship ‌between Iran and Lebanon, encompassing all facets of the ⁣Lebanese ⁣government and ⁤establishment, and expressed ⁤Tehran’s commitment to expanding these ties. ⁢ He will be accompanied ‍by an economic​ delegation during his visit to Beirut.
