Sugar Announces 2026 Tour, New Song “Long Live Love”
The reunited rock trio Sugar, led by Bob Mould, will embark on an extensive 2026 tour following sold-out residencies in New York and London in fall 2025 and the release of thier first new music in 30 years. The band also unveiled a new song and music video, “Long Live Love,” directed by Lee Gregory.
Mould wrote “Long Live Love” in 2007 while living in Washington, D.C. He stated, “It was the George W. Bush era, I was deep in my DJ world wiht Blowoff, yet still writing pop songs on guitars.” He further noted the song’s stylistic connection to Garbage, saying, “Garbage 2.0 is one of my desert island albums, so it’s not surprising that ’Long Live Love’ reminds me of a long lost Garbage song.”
“Long Live Love” will be released as the B-side of the physical “House of Dead Memories” single on May 1, 2026, via BMG. Listen to “Long Live Love” here.
Sugar will begin their live return with three shows in New york and two in London before launching the full tour on May 26 in Dublin. The current schedule concludes on October 24 in Athens,Georgia,at Barbe’s. Tickets are available here.
