CBRE’s Industrious acquisition Fuels Rapid Expansion in Flexible Office Space
One year after commercial real estate firm CBRE acquired Industrious, a flexible office company, Industrious is experiencing ample growth. CBRE completed the acquisition on January 26, 2025, according to a company press release.
Industrious, founded in 2013, saw rapid expansion following the COVID-19 pandemic. in 2025, the company increased its global footprint by 58% compared to 2024, reaching over 250 locations in more than 100 cities, as reported by Industrious. The company projects a 100% increase in new signings in 2026.
Currently, Industrious holds the third-largest position in the flexible office sector, measured by both the number of spaces and total square footage. It trails behind International workplace Group and WeWork.
CBRE stated that Industrious’ success stems from “an ongoing investment into understanding what makes for a great workplace, paired with continuous operational betterment.”
