Harry Brook: England Skipper Addresses Nightclub Incident

Harry Brook Admits Teammates Were Present During ⁣nightclub Incident

England white-ball captain ⁣Harry Brook has admitted that other england players were with him when he was involved ⁤in an altercation ⁤with⁤ a bouncer in Wellington, New Zealand, on November 1, 2025.⁣ Brook initially stated he was alone at the time of the incident.

Brook released a⁤ statement ‌on Friday, january 30, 2026, acknowledging he‌ was not truthful about being alone to protect his ⁢teammates “from being drawn into a situation.” This‌ admission followed a report by the Daily Telegraph ⁢that brook, along with teammates Jacob Bethell and Josh Tongue, may be subject to examination⁣ by the cricket regulator. “I accept responsibility for my actions in Wellington and ​acknowledge others​ were present that evening,” Brook said in his statement. He is currently in Sri ⁤Lanka preparing for the T20 World Cup, which begins⁣ in India on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Brook previously told media he was out on‍ his own ​ the evening before a one-day international.
