Pokémon GO players have a new opportunity to catch Flamigo, a Flying and Fighting-type Pokémon originally from the Paldea region, during the Carnival of Flamigo event. The event, running from , to , not only offers a chance to encounter Flamigo, but also increased shiny encounter rates for other Pokémon.
The Carnival of Flamigo event replaces the Into the Depths event as the weekly event in Pokémon GO. Players can take part in timed research to earn various rewards. The event features extended Incense duration, bonus Stardust, and increased shiny encounter rates for Lotad, Spritzee, and Pikipek.
During the event, Incense will last twice as long, and Daily Adventure Incense duration will be extended from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Catching Flamigo will award 500 additional Stardust, making it a particularly lucrative target for players looking to boost their Stardust reserves.
Wild spawns during the event will feature a variety of Pokémon, including Lotad, Buneary, Pikipek, Spinarak, Surskit, Finneon, Petilil, and Bounsweet. Rarer encounters will include Spritzee, Frillish, and the debuting Flamigo. While Flamigo can be found in the wild, Field Research tasks offer a more reliable method for encountering it.
Event-exclusive Field Research tasks are available by spinning PokéStops. These tasks generally involve catching Pokémon, making Curveball Throws, spinning stops, and walking short distances. Completing these tasks will yield rewards.
For players seeking additional content, an Ultra Ticket Box is available for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in local currency). This ticket includes an event ticket and a bonus Premium Battle Pass.
The Carnival of Flamigo event begins at on , and concludes at on . Once the event ends, players will no longer be able to participate and obtain the associated rewards.
