She also received the Bilingual Educator of the Year award from Texas A&M International University, acknowledging her commitment to language as a bridge to opportunity for all students.

Dr. Villarreal’s experience extends to leading multiple campuses, including San Isidro Primary and Coronel Santos Benavides Elementary School. Her focus has consistently been on fostering environments of respect, continuous improvement, and academic rigor. She is also known as a mentor to fellow administrators and a strong advocate for teachers, working to provide them with the resources and support needed to inspire students.
