Motorola is launching a significant wave of new devices in Argentina, encompassing six smartphones – the Motorola Signature, Edge 70, Moto g77, g67, g17, and g17 Power – alongside a smartwatch (Moto Watch), a connected speaker (Sound Flow), a Bluetooth tracker (Moto Tag 2), and a stylus (Pen Ultra). This rollout, beginning , signals the company’s commitment to the Argentinian market, which represents its largest share globally, and is facilitated by recent changes to import tariffs.
The most premium offering is the Motorola Signature, positioned above what would have been the Edge 70 Ultra. The device features a remarkably thin profile of 6.99mm and a lightweight build of 186 grams, encased in an aluminum frame with a textile-like finish available in olive or black. It boasts IP68/69 water and dust resistance.
Under the hood, the Signature is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Audio is handled by stereo speakers calibrated by Bose. A silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh supports 90W fast charging and up to 50W wireless charging. The device features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 6200 nits, calibrated by Pantone for accurate color reproduction, and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The camera system comprises 50MP sensors for the main, zoom (3x), and ultrawide (122-degree field of view) lenses, as well as a 50MP front-facing camera, all enhanced with AI-powered image processing. According to DxOMark, the Signature marginally outperforms the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL in photography.
The Signature runs Android 16 and will receive seven years of operating system updates, aligning with Google’s commitment for Pixel devices. The device is priced at 2,499,999 pesos.
For consumers seeking a more accessible high-end experience, Motorola is also releasing the Edge 70. This smartphone measures just 5.99mm thick and weighs 159 grams. It features a 4800 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of uMCP storage (combining RAM and storage into a single chip). The Edge 70 also boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 4500 nits, stereo speakers, and a triple 50MP camera system (main, ultrawide, and front-facing). It also supports 5G and NFC.
The Edge 70 is priced at 1,299,999 pesos, with a special edition featuring Swarovski crystals embedded in the back panel available for 1,399,999 pesos.
Motorola’s lineup also includes updates to its popular Moto g series. The Moto g77 features a 6.7-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage, a 5200 mAh battery, and a 108MP main camera. The Moto g67 offers a 6.8-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 4GB of RAM (expandable using storage), and a 50MP Sony sensor main camera. The Moto g17 Power includes a 6.7-inch FullHD display, a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, 4GB of RAM (expandable using storage), and a 6000 mAh battery. The standard Moto g17 has a 5200 mAh battery.
The Moto g77 is priced at 699,999 pesos, the g67 at 599,999 pesos, and the Moto g17 at 349,999 pesos.
Beyond smartphones, Motorola is expanding its ecosystem of accessories. The Sound Flow speaker, developed in collaboration with Bose, features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a charging base, four microphones, a 10W tweeter, a 20W woofer, and up to 12 hours of battery life. It supports pairing with a second unit for stereo sound and utilizes UWB for precise location detection. The Moto Watch, designed with Polar, features a 47mm case, a circular display, GPS, heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, and up to 13 days of battery life. We see water-resistant and uses standard 22mm watch straps. The Moto Pen Ultra stylus is designed for use with the Motorola Signature and Razr Fold, offering a low latency of 5ms and a dedicated charging case. Finally, the Moto Tag 2 is a Bluetooth tracker with a battery life of over 500 days, utilizing a CR2032 battery and supporting UWB for enhanced precision.
The Moto Watch is priced at 159,999 pesos or 179,999 pesos depending on the finish. Pricing for the Sound Flow, Pen Ultra, and Moto Tag 2 has not been disclosed.
