Lansing Crash: Pedestrian Killed, 1 Injured – Feb 12, 2026

– Lansing, Michigan – Police are investigating the death of a 71-year-old man following a two-vehicle collision in south Lansing on . The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. At the intersection of Waverly and Holmes roads, according to a statement released by the Lansing Police Department.

Authorities believe the man was a pedestrian at the time of the accident. Preliminary investigations suggest one vehicle attempted a turn and was struck by a second, causing the first vehicle to leave the roadway and collide with the pedestrian. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Investigators believe the victim was a pedestrian and not an occupant of either vehicle,” said department spokesperson Jordan Gulkis. Police have not yet released the identities of either the victim or the driver of the vehicles involved, nor have they disclosed their respective hometowns.
