Ramz Level the Beast: Football Stars Pranked in New Ramadan Show 2026

Ramadan is once again set to be a prime time for entertainment, and Egyptian actor Ramez Galal is preparing to launch his latest prank show, “Ramez Level El Wahsh” (Ramez Level the Monster). The program, slated to air on MBC Egypt starting with the first day of Ramadan – – will feature a roster of prominent figures, including several well-known football stars.

Galal unveiled the promotional video for the new season on his social media platforms, generating significant buzz. The teaser hints at a particularly intense series of pranks, with Galal himself appearing in a menacing pose on the show’s poster, surrounded by imagery of confinement and danger. He even cautioned his followers to “stay strong and don’t be easygoing… this is scary,” suggesting a heightened level of suspense and drama.

Among the football stars featured in the promotional material are Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo,” a player for Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team. The video shows Zizo reacting with visible anger, even breaking a glass panel, presumably as a result of one of Galal’s signature pranks. Mahmoud Bentayek, a Zamalek player and member of the Moroccan national team that won the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, is also set to appear.

Further adding to the athletic contingent are Al Ahly teammates Yasser Ibrahim and Marwan Attia, alongside Saleh Abu Shamat, a star for Al Ahli Jeddah and the Saudi national team. The inclusion of these high-profile athletes underscores Galal’s consistent strategy of attracting a broad audience through celebrity participation.

Ramez Galal has become a Ramadan television staple with his annual prank shows, beginning with “Ramez Qalb El Asad” (Ramez The Heart of The Lion) in 2011. Last year’s offering, “Ramez Gab Men El Akher,” also drew considerable viewership, featuring a diverse group of celebrities including Ahmed El Sakka, Bassem Samra, Somaya El Khashab, and Mohamed Reyad.

While details surrounding the specific pranks remain under wraps, speculation is rife. Previous seasons have often involved elaborate setups and unexpected scenarios designed to elicit genuine reactions from the unsuspecting guests. The current poster, featuring ropes and chains, suggests a theme of imprisonment or restriction, while the fiery red color scheme promises a season of heightened tension.

The show’s title, “Ramez Level El Wahsh,” translates to “Ramez Level the Monster,” further fueling anticipation of a particularly frightening and challenging experience for the participants. The program’s format typically involves luring celebrities to a location under false pretenses, only to subject them to a series of carefully orchestrated pranks.

Galal’s success lies in his ability to tap into the public’s fascination with celebrity reactions and the element of surprise. His shows consistently generate high viewership numbers during Ramadan, a period when families gather to watch television together. The combination of humor, suspense, and the presence of well-known personalities has proven to be a winning formula.

Beyond the football stars, reports indicate a wide range of other celebrities will be featured on “Ramez Elon Masr” (Ramez on Egypt), a previously announced show that appears to have been rebranded as “Ramez Level El Wahsh”. This guest list includes Mohamed Henedy, Ahmed El Awady, Mohamed Ramadan, Hassan El Raddad, Amy Samir Ghanem, Akram Hosny, Nesreen Amin, Ahmed Saad, Wegz, Nadine Nassib Njeim, and Mohamed El Shenawy, among others. The earlier reports surrounding “Ramez Elon Masr” suggested a possible tech-inspired theme, potentially referencing Elon Musk, but the current promotional material focuses more on a general sense of fear and danger.

The show will air daily immediately following the Maghrib prayer on MBC Masr, making it easily accessible to viewers across Egypt and the wider Arab world. As Ramadan approaches, all eyes will be on Ramez Galal to see if he can deliver another season of shocking pranks and memorable celebrity reactions.
