The 4th Ansim Ecological Arts Festival will be held for two days from Saturday the 7th to Sunday the 8th in the Dong-gu Ansim Wetland area, which is blessed with natural ecological resources, with the theme of ‘Coexistence and Harmony of Nature, People, and Art.’
According to the Donggu Cultural Foundation, this event, now in its fourth year, is a street art festival with 13 teams of artists and groups from all over the country, including the Ansim area of Daegu. Various genres of art performances, experiences, and exhibitions, including music, theater, traditional arts, mime, and dance, are planned.
On the first day, Saturday the 7th, from 4 PM, there will be a cup terrarium (moss plant) and lotus root soap making experience, as well as a youth art exhibition. At 5 PM, the ‘Wetland Night Art Festival’ will be held, with a night view as the backdrop while walking through the beautiful wetlands throughout the lotus pond. As a special event, a fire performance by the band Good Rock is also scheduled at the lotus ecology center.
On the following day, Sunday the 8th, a lotus root soap making experience will be held from 2:30 PM along with a traditional performance. The closing performance will be the upcycling play ‘Children Who Went to the Sea’ prepared by the small theater Walk with the Moon, and a band performance.
The director of the small theater ‘Walking with the Moon’, Yejaechang, who planned the event, expressed his aspirations, saying, “I hope that this festival will grow into a festival that tourists will visit, where artists from all over the world will perform at the Ansim lotus field walking path, Jeomsaeneup Shelter, Ansim Wetland, and Lotus Complex, just like the world-famous Aurillac Street Arts Festival in France.”
