New York, NY – ⁢The A3+ Group, comprising ‌Algeria, Somalia, Sierra Leone, and Guyana, has voiced profound concern over persistent‌ Israeli violations of syrian sovereignty, demanding an immediate cessation⁣ of all activities by the Israeli occupation army within Syrian territory. The group unequivocally condemned these actions as a breach of international law and the United⁢ Nations Charter.

Condemnation of Aggression and Call for Full Withdrawal

During a ⁤monthly Security Council meeting focused on the‌ political and humanitarian situation in Syria, Algeria’s ⁤Permanent Representative to the UN, Ammar Bin Jama, speaking on behalf of the A3+ Group, strongly denounced the ongoing transgressions. The group ⁤reiterated its call for the complete implementation of the 1974 disengagement agreement, reaffirming‍ that the occupied Golan is Syrian land under international law, as clearly stipulated in Security Council‍ Resolution 497.

The A3+ Group further urged an end to the incursions by the occupation army ‍into Syrian territories and demanded their full withdrawal from occupied areas. They also stressed the importance of allowing the United Nations force⁢ to monitor the disengagement to carry‍ out its⁤ mandated tasks without impediment.

Emphasis on Political Process and National Reconciliation

Beyond security concerns, the A3+ Group reaffirmed its unwavering support for a UN-led political process that is Syrian-owned and facilitated. This process, they emphasized, must reflect the legitimate aspirations of all Syrians, including women and youth, ensuring their full participation in shaping the nation’s future.

The group acknowledged the fragile security situation in syria, citing recent violence in the‍ Suwayda Governorate as evidence of the urgent need for complete national⁢ dialogue and reconciliation to establish lasting peace ⁤and stability. They took note of the ceasefire announced in Suwayda and called upon all parties to honor their commitments ⁢in good faith. Moreover, the A3+ Group acknowledged the findings of the investigation committee regarding crimes committed in the coastal⁢ area and demanded that all those responsible be brought⁣ to justice.

Call for Constructive Engagement and Support for ‌Sovereignty

the A3+ group appealed to regional and international actors to refrain from turning Syria into a theater for confrontations and rather to contribute constructively to peace and recovery. They renewed their steadfast support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as their backing for the efforts of the United nations and its special Envoy, whose role remains crucial. The group stressed that sustainable development is indispensable for lasting peace and urged the international ⁣community to intensify efforts towards Syria’s recovery.
