Aanchal Munjal on ‘Pushpa 2’: “Being Part of This Franchise Was an Honor”
Rising star Aanchal Munjal reflects on her experience filming the highly anticipated Telugu blockbuster,’Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ alongside Allu Arjun and Saurabh Sachdeva.
Aanchal Munjal, a seasoned actress with a career spanning from child roles to supporting characters, has seen a surge in popularity following her appearance in ‘pushpa 2: the Rule.’
“I don’t think there needs to be a reason to say yes to a film like ‘Pushpa’; the world knows it’s a huge franchise,” Munjal explains, emphasizing the honor of being part of such a massive project.
While Munjal initially had more scenes in the film, some were ultimately cut during the editing process. “Regrettably, people couldn’t see me in those scenes as they were quite fun to shoot,” she shares. However, she remains positive, stating, “I am focused on how much of an impact my scene had on the film; it’s a turning point in the story. So, I believe in looking on the brighter side of it.”
Munjal praises her co-stars,notably Saurabh Sachdeva,calling him “one of the best co-stars to have.” She credits him with teaching her valuable acting lessons on set.
Regarding Allu Arjun, Munjal describes him as “extremely professional” and “dedicated.” She recalls his initial reserved demeanor, attributing it to his commitment to staying in character. “He’s such a sweetheart, he’s quite humble actually. And I realised he wasn’t speaking to anyone because he’s in character when he’s on set. His dedication is truly something else because you don’t see allu Arjun; you only see Pushpa,” she shares.
This marks Munjal’s second South Indian film, following her 2018 Tamil debut in ‘sei.’ She expresses her admiration for the respectful environment on South Indian film sets and her desire to take on more Telugu projects.
“I’ve always wanted to be an actor and get people’s love,” Munjal reflects. “I started out, not worrying if my role was big or small, and I feel the same today. I just want to continue doing good work that brings me more love.”
