Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a‍ four-time NFL MVP,⁢ suggested Tuesday that the upcoming 2025 season will likely be his last. Rodgers, 41, made the comments during an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million contract with‍ Pittsburgh after a stint ⁤with⁣ the New York Jets. He previously played‍ 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers,where he set numerous franchise records.

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is it,” Rodgers said. “That’s why we ⁣just did a one-year deal…this was really about finishing with a lot⁤ of love and fun and peace for the career that I’ve had.”

Rodgers holds the Packers’ records for touchdown passes (475), completion percentage ⁤(65.3), and passer rating (103.6). He trails only Brett Favre in passing yards (59,055) and completions (5,001).

After his release from the⁢ Jets, Rodgers chose to sign with the Steelers. His time with the Jets was marked by⁣ an Achilles tendon tear early in the 2023 season, followed by a 5-12 record and a missed playoff appearance in 2024.

The Steelers are⁤ scheduled to face the Jets in Week 1 on Sept.7. Rodgers ‍will play against his former team, Green Bay, in Week 8 on “Sunday Night Football.”
