A Scott County grand jury has indicted Aaron Schlossin on two counts of first-degree murder following the death of his mother, Diana Kaiser, at their shared residence in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
The indictment, announced on April 14, 2026, by Scott County Attorney Ron Hocevar, includes charges of premeditated first-degree murder and first-degree murder while committing criminal sexual conduct.
Incident and Evidence
The investigation began on April 27, 2025, when Prior Lake police officers arrived at a home in the 4500 block of Colorado Street to conduct a welfare check. The residence was occupied by Diana Kaiser and her son, Aaron Schlossin.

Upon arrival, a sergeant observed a leg protruding from a pile of blankets on the floor through a window, prompting officers to force entry into the home. Inside, officers discovered the body of Ms. Kaiser on the bedroom floor.
According to reports, Ms. Kaiser had suffered significant blunt force trauma to her head, and face. Investigators found extensive blood spatter on the ceiling, walls, and windowsill, as well as a bloody handprint on the wall that appeared larger than that of a female.
Physical evidence found at the scene included a pair of bloody jeans lying on top of the body. Inside the pocket of the jeans, officers recovered a wallet containing the identification of Aaron Schlossin.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) was tasked with processing the scene and collecting evidence. An autopsy was conducted by Dr. Amanda Spencer of the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
