Miller filed the lawsuit Tuesday ‌in Los ‌Angeles County Superior Court, citing medical‍ negligence, professional negligence, and medical battery.⁢ She is seeking $1.4 million in damages related to the incident.

Cedars-Sinai, in a statement to The Self-reliant, ⁢declined to comment on pending‌ legal matters, citing patient privacy laws. ⁣The hospital ‌emphasized its commitment⁢ to patient care and safety,⁢ stating they are dedicated to meeting the highest standards.

Nadine Lewis, Miller’s attorney, echoed the lawsuit’s claims. ⁢”Abby Lee Miller⁣ suffered for years ‌from an object left inside of her ‌during spinal surgery;⁣ despite⁤ complaints to various physicians, not ‍one ⁣ordered imaging of ‍any kind to diagnose the‌ source of her pain,” ⁤Lewis ⁤said.
