‘Absolutely raging’ – Luke Littler furious as fan blocks him from his mum during walk-on
Darts Star Luke Littler’s Frustrating Encounter with Overzealous Fan
Luke Littler, known as “The Nuke,” found himself in a heated situation during his walk-on for a quarter-final match against Stephen Bunting in the Premier League Darts tournament in Exeter. The incident, which occurred during night four of the Premier League, highlighted the challenges that professional athletes face when interacting with fans.
Thousands of fans gathered to witness the darts superstars, including the reigning Premier League and world champion. The walk-on was packed as Littler signed autographs and greeted fans. However, one fan took things too far by barging in front of Littler’s own mother, who was waiting to greet her teenage prodigy son.
Littler was visibly upset as he eased the fans out of the way to hug his mother. He ensured his mother was safe from danger before stepping onto the stage. Throughout the match, Littler kept glancing over to his mother, giving her the thumbs up to ensure she wasn’t affected by the incident.

Despite the initial frustration, Littler’s performance was exceptional. He posted a 112 average en route to a sensational 6-3 victory over Bunting. This win set up a semi-final match with Nathan Aspinall, showcasing Littler’s resilience and focus under pressure.
The crowd has become a pivotal part of the Premier League, with the invitational tournament inviting thousands of fans to cities around Europe. However, recent incidents have highlighted the need for better crowd control.
On night two in Glasgow, the crowd faced heavy criticism after whistling at the players during matches. This behavior disrupted the players’ focus and performance, leading to a strongly-worded statement from the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
“Following Thursday’s Premier League Darts night in Glasgow, the PDC wishes to strongly reiterate that it does not condone any behaviour which can disrupt an event, such as whistling or booing when players are throwing.
Every player goes on stage with the intention of performing to the best of their ability and providing an entertaining spectacle for all fans, whether in the venue or watching worldwide.
As per the terms and conditions of entry to events, spectators who act inappropriately can be removed from the venue.”
Despite these incidents, Littler believes the crowd plays a huge positive part in the regular events. He continues to put on fine displays on the Premier League stage, drawing widespread praise for his composure and temperament.

The PDC works closely with Premier League venues to take proactive and decisive action against those who behave inappropriately. The vast majority of fans who attend these sell-out events also condemn such behavior, and the PDC continues to promote a positive atmosphere that gives all players the opportunity to play to the best of their ability in every match.
Littler, known for his composure and temperament, continues to transcend the sport. He will hope to continue his chase of Luke Humphries, who has taken a narrow lead at the top of the table so far.
