AccentCare Celebrates Women’s History​ Month with Team Member Reflections

During Women’s History ⁤Month, AccentCare ⁢is recognizing the achievements⁣ of women, including those​ within its own organization. Samia Haddad,Senior ⁢Vice President and‍ Chief Compliance Officer,shared⁣ her journey to becoming‌ a leader at AccentCare.

Haddad said her role involves ensuring that⁤ everyone is informed and empowered‍ to ⁤do the ‍right thing ⁤for patients and their families. She‌ added that‍ she feels lucky her‌ job allows her to help​ people and solve problems.

Haddad ‌recounted how seeing​ a female gas station attendant ⁤as⁢ a​ child opened her eyes to career possibilities.Although she initially⁤ pursued law, she found corporate⁢ law a better fit, eventually leading her to healthcare and compliance.She said she transformed⁤ the compliance function into a group of credible business partners who help people⁢ do the right thing.

Nancy, a‌ Crisis Care and Continuous Care Coordinator in Tampa, FL, ‍said Women’s History Month is a reminder of progress made and work still to be done.She noted the importance ⁤of equality and admires her female director’s accomplishments.

Tonya, a Regional Director of Operations in Austin, TX, ‌comes ⁣from a line of strong, working women. She​ celebrates the ‌women⁣ at AccentCare who lead and care for⁢ patients,‍ families, and communities. She said she ⁤is shaping her​ daughters to be ‌authentic ⁤and triumphant women.

Melvia, a⁢ PCS Caregiver in Amarillo, ‍TX, said Women’s History Month is ‌about ‌sharing the experience of ⁢motherhood and‍ the joy of seeing ‌children⁣ grow. She highlighted‍ the many roles women play as‌ mothers, wives, teachers, and friends.

Nilli, a Volunteer services Coordinator in San ⁢Jose,​ CA, reflected on the importance of⁣ acknowledging a ⁤hospice patient’s⁣ femininity and how it affects her well-being. ‍She ​shared an example of how simple gestures,like polishing nails,can improve a patient’s engagement and communication.

Venezuela, Senior ‍Director​ of Human Resources for Home Health and Hospice ‍in Dallas, TX,‌ said Women’s History ⁣Month is a time to celebrate women’s ⁣contributions ‍and advocate for ​gender equality. She encourages her daughters to celebrate​ themselves and empower their ⁣voices.
