Mexico City, August 28, 2025 – Aspiring medical professionals are getting a crucial edge thanks to an innovative evaluation program at the “Dr. Raoul Fournier Villada” Auditorium. On August 20th, 317 students participated in the third iteration of the “Achieve Your Goal” evaluation, a formative strategy designed to bolster the academic preparedness of internship doctors and enhance the quality of their patient care. This unique program, integrated into the academic strengthening curriculum, specifically targets sixth-year students and graduates from the last three graduating classes of the surgeon Bachelor’s degree program. It provides a vital bridge between classroom learning and the demanding realities of medical practice.
The “Achieve Your Goal” evaluation utilizes a simulator-style exam, allowing students to not only measure their knowledge base but also hone critical skills in time management and self-assessment. Participants gain valuable experience in identifying their strengths and pinpointing areas where further progress is needed.
A key feature of the simulation is its design, wich mirrors the format of the national Examination of Applicants for Medical Residences (ENARM). This strategic approach familiarizes students with the exam’s structure, question types, and overall environment, reducing anxiety and boosting confidence as they prepare for this crucial step in their medical careers. The exam itself is complete, featuring clinical case reagents that span a wide range of medical specialties. Students are challenged with scenarios drawn from internal medicine, surgical medical emergencies, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, otolaryngology, neurology, hematology, dermatology, endocrinology, psychiatry, and ophthalmology. This broad exposure ensures that participants are well-prepared for the diverse challenges they will face in their future medical residencies.
The “Achieve Your Goal” program represents a proactive and forward-thinking approach to medical education, empowering future doctors with the skills and confidence they need to excel in their careers and provide the highest quality care to their patients.
