Acrisure to Acquire Heartland payroll Solutions for $1.1 Billion

Acrisure is set to acquire Heartland Payroll Solutions from Global Payments for $1.1 billion. The deal, anticipated to close in the latter half of 2025, aims to significantly broaden Acrisure’s fintech capabilities and enhance its services for small and mid-sized businesses.
Heartland Payroll Solutions currently supports over 50,000 clients. Following the acquisition, the company will be rebranded, with vince Lombardo taking the helm as CEO and joining Acrisure’s leadership team. the acquisition will bolster Acrisure’s human capital management services.
Greg Williams, co-founder, chair and CEO of Acrisure, said this acquisition accelerates the company’s transformation into a diversified fintech platform.
The acquisition follows a recent $2.1 billion funding round led by Bain Capital, which valued Acrisure at $32 billion. Goldfinch Partners advised Acrisure on the Heartland transaction. Legal counsel was provided by Skadden Arps,Kirkland & Ellis,and Schulte Roth & Zabel.
