Aman Navodaya, a veteran actor and versatile technician in the Malayalam film industry, passed away on April 5, 2026. He died in Alappuzha during the early hours of Sunday at the age of 82.

Navodaya maintained a long-standing professional association with two of the most influential entities in the history of Malayalam cinema: Udaya and Navodaya Studios. He was a regular presence in the productions of both studios, contributing to the visual and technical foundations of numerous films.

His entry into the industry began through a chance encounter with Kunchacko, the owner of Udaya Studio, while Navodaya was taking photographs for a wedding. This meeting led to his initial employment at Udaya, where he started as an assistant to the makeup artist.
