Actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay, known professionally as Vijay and referred to by the title Thalapathy, has formally entered the electoral race for the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Representing his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), Vijay has announced his candidacy for two specific constituencies: Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli East.
