Actress Hints at Upcoming Series Finale on The Drew Barrymore Show

Zendaya has indicated that the upcoming third season of the HBO drama Euphoria may serve as the series finale. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on April 6, 2026, the actress suggested that the conclusion of the story is approaching.

When asked by Barrymore if the third season would be the final installment of the acclaimed series, Zendaya replied, I think so, yeah, and further noted that closure is coming.

Production and Premiere Details

Season 3 of Euphoria is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2026, on HBO and stream on HBO Max. The new season will feature a significant narrative jump, as HBO Chief Casey Bloys revealed that creator Sam Levinson has developed a way to move the characters forward by five years.

The returning cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace.

However, the series will not feature the character Fezco due to the 2023 death of actor Angus Cloud.

Industry Context and Casting Challenges

The potential conclusion of the series follows a four-year gap between the second and third seasons. This hiatus coincided with the rise of the show’s main cast members as major Hollywood stars, which has complicated the scheduling required to film new episodes.

Zendaya has expanded her film career significantly during this period, appearing in the Dune and Spider-Man franchises. She also recently starred in the A24 film The Drama, which was released on April 3, 2026.

Other cast members, including Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Colman Domingo, have also transitioned into prominent movie roles since the series began.

While Zendaya has hinted at an ending, HBO has not officially confirmed that Season 3 will be the final season. Casey Bloys stated that Sam Levinson has an idea for a potential fourth season, though the creator is currently focused on completing and releasing the third installment.
