Actress Irene Ang thanks coffeeshop worker who tried calling her 9 times after finding lost wallet

Actress and entrepreneur Irene Ang has publicly expressed her gratitude toward a coffeeshop employee who recovered her lost pouch and made repeated attempts to return it to her.

The incident took place at the Kimly Kopitiam in Everton Park. Ang, who serves as the founder and CEO of Fly Entertainment, shared the details of the encounter on Instagram to highlight the worker’s honesty and persistence.

The loss occurred on May 9, 2026, while Ang was having lunch at the coffee shop. She left her pouch on the table, which she did not immediately notice.

In an interview with Chinese media outlet Shin Min Daily News, Ang explained that the pouch contained her identity card, credit cards, and ATM cards. She noted that there was no cash inside, stating, everything is cashless nowadays.

Because Ang typically utilizes her phone for payments, the absence of the pouch did not cause immediate concern. She initially believed the item was located in her car.

The actress only discovered the item was missing on the night of May 10, 2026, when she attempted to use her ATM card to withdraw cash.

Following the discovery, Ang conducted an extensive search. She checked her vehicle, her home, and the residences of individuals she had visited during the long weekend, but was unable to locate the pouch.

Ang mentioned that she had considered filing a police report regarding the loss. However, a friend advised her to retrace her movements from the previous few days instead.

Unbeknownst to Ang during her search, a coffeeshop worker named Amy had found the pouch and attempted to contact her. Amy tried calling Ang nine separate times in an effort to return the belongings.

Ang did not answer the calls at the time. She explained that she ignored the notifications because she suspected the calls were either pranks or attempts by scammers.

Once the pouch was successfully recovered, the 57-year-old actress took to social media to thank the employee for her integrity.

In her Instagram post, Ang wrote:
