Adam Land Commits to Mississippi State Bulldogs Football Program

Adam Land, a tight end prospect from Mosley High School in Lynn Haven, Fla., has committed to Mississippi State. Land, a rising senior, chose the Bulldogs after receiving more than a dozen scholarship offers. His relationship with tight ends coach Jon Cooper proved to be a deciding factor in his recruitment.
Land had made multiple visits to Starkville, building a comfort level with the program. the Mississippi state coaching staff, including head coach Jeff Lebby and Cooper, reciprocated with frequent visits to see Land this spring.
Land, a three-sport athlete, is considered a versatile tight end who excels in space, creating matchup problems for opposing defenses. He is the 10th commitment for Mississippi State’s 2026 recruiting class.
“I have had a different relationship with Coach Coop since the beginning and have been to Starkville four or five times since last summer,” Land said. “It just feels like my place. It’s always felt laid back and pleasant.”
Land was scheduled to make an official visit to Mississippi State next weekend but decided to commit early. He informed Cooper of his decision Tuesday night, followed by a call with Lebby on Wednesday.
A planned visit to Pittsburgh has been canceled.Land affirmed his commitment to mississippi State, highlighting Cooper’s consistent presence in his recruitment.
“Coach Cooper was at my first ever mega camp last May and he followed the tight end group and coached me up between reps,” Land said. “Two days later he invited me to come to Starkville to camp and two days after that I was there working out… About five months later, he and State were my first D1 offer and we have been tighter every week since.”
