Andhra Pradesh Approves ₹28,546 Crore in Industrial Projects

The Andhra Pradesh government has given the green light to ₹28,546 crore worth of industrial projects during its 7th State-Level investment Promotion Board meeting. This move aims to considerably boost the state’s economy and create numerous job opportunities.
A major portion of the investment comes from the Adani Group.Adani Renewable Energy Fifty One plans to invest ₹8,010 crore in Kadapa, while Adani Hydro Energy One & Four will invest ₹10,900 crore across several districts. These projects are expected to generate approximately 10,500 jobs.
Other key investments include Cognizant’s ₹1,583 crore IT campus in Visakhapatnam, which is projected to create 8,000 jobs. Reliance Consumer Products will invest ₹1,622 crore in Orvakal, and Raymond will invest ₹1,201 crore across various locations.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stressed the state’s commitment to balanced regional development, local job creation, and skill enhancement. He also mentioned plans for MSME parks in every Assembly constituency under the “One Family – One Entrepreneur” initiative. Andhra Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a hub for clean energy, IT, and manufacturing, attracting substantial industrial investments.
In related news, Reliance Industries announced a ₹65,000 crore investment in November 2024 to establish 500 compressed biogas plants in Andhra Pradesh over five years. Furthermore, in January 2025, the SIPB approved ₹44,776 crore worth of projects, with a strong focus on clean energy, especially solar, involving major players like Navayuga Engineering, Megha Engineering, Tata Power Renewable, Ayana Renewable, and Ampin Energy.
Since July 2024, the SIPB has cleared projects totaling ₹3.1 trillion, with the potential to create over 312,000 jobs. Last month, SAEL Solar MHP1 Pvt. Limited secured $132 million in debt financing for a solar power project in Andhra Pradesh.
With 19 new projects worth over ₹33,720 crore cleared since the current governance took office, Andhra Pradesh is expanding its renewable capacity and building economic momentum. The state is also set to host India’s largest quantum computer at the Quantum valley Tech Park in Amaravati.
