Expanded Parking Available ​at Place Darche in⁢ Longwy-Haut ‌for⁣ the ⁣Holidays

Longwy-Haut is once again offering expanded‍ parking at Place Darche to support holiday shopping and festivities. The initiative, known as “White Square,” ⁤transforms ‍the central area of the square -‌ between⁢ the Saint-Dagobert church ⁢and the Siege Well – into a free⁢ parking zone.

Additional Parking Through Early⁣ 2026

Motorists can take advantage of​ approximately 80 to 100 additional free parking ⁤spaces now available and continuing through the end of January 2026. This annual program has become a⁢ cornerstone for supporting local businesses⁤ and easing ⁢parking congestion during ⁤the busy end-of-year season.

A Community-Driven Initiative

The ‌”White ‍Square” operation has been running for ‌13 years, initiated by the Darche⁣ association. Local residents and businesses have consistently expressed their ⁤appreciation⁤ for the added⁤ parking, with some even requesting the program be extended⁣ year-round due to ongoing⁤ parking challenges in the area.

Winter Sales ‌Support & ‍market Considerations

To further boost local commerce, the parking‌ expansion‌ will be particularly ‍focused during the initial‍ weeks of the winter sales period.Please note​ that the expanded parking area will be ‌temporarily​ removed on ⁤Thursday mornings to ‌accommodate the weekly market,but will reopen⁣ to vehicles each afternoon.

Extended Shopping Hours

Many businesses‌ in ‌the vicinity will be⁤ observing special hours, ​including being open on ‌Sunday, December ⁤21st. this ⁣provides shoppers with increased opportunities⁣ to support local ‍retailers.

Parking is ‍open seven days a week at ⁣Place Darche in Longwy-Haut.
