ADM Supports Food Banks in Six States
Archer-daniels-Midland (ADM) has donated $1.5 million to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief association, to bolster local food distribution efforts. The grant will provide funding to regional food banks and distribution centers across Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, Georgia, and Louisiana, aiming to increase access to meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Feeding America’s network comprises over 200 member food banks and programs, serving every U.S. county and reaching tens of millions of people each year.According to Feeding America’s research, more than 34 million people, including 9 million children, are food insecure in the united States.
Funding Will enhance Local resources
The funds will be used to ensure local partner organizations have the necessary resources for food access and related services. This includes support for storage, transportation, and distribution of food, and also assistance with programs that address the root causes of hunger.
