Houston,TX – The University of Houston System is searching for a pleasant and organized individual to join the Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) as an Administrative Coordinator. This vital role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all.
The ideal candidate will possess extraordinary customer service skills and a passion for supporting the WGRC’s mission of empowering individuals and fostering a campus culture of respect and equity.responsibilities extend beyond a warm greeting:
Creating a Welcoming Habitat: Greeting visitors, managing the sign-in process, and responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
Maintaining a Welcoming Space: Ensuring the center’s public areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked with resources.
supporting Center Activities: Assisting with event readiness, connecting visitors with appropriate resources, and providing administrative support to the WGRC team.
The WGRC is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. the Administrative Coordinator will participate in regular staff meetings and trainings, contributing to the center’s overall success.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment.
Excellent organizational and dialog skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The WGRC is open to considering candidates with relevant education in lieu of experience.
Salary: $18.32 - $20.60 per hour
