AEW Dynamite Ratings Surge During Fyter Fest; Collision Numbers Decline
AEW Dynamite experienced a viewership boost during its Fyter Fest broadcast on Wednesday, averaging 655,000 viewers on TBS. This represents a 3% increase compared to the previous week’s show. The AEW Dynamite ratings marked the third-highest viewership for the program in a two-hour block since March 26.
The 8-10 p.m. EDT Dynamite block secured eighth place among all cable television prime-time broadcasts, achieving a 0.18 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic. This is AEW’s highest rating in that category since March 19, tying for the third-highest rating this year.
Dynamite faced stiff competition from Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals between Florida and Edmonton on TNT, which dominated television with a 0.64 rating in the 18-49 demographic and an average of 2.086 million viewers.
The second half of Fyter Fest, airing from 10 p.m. to midnight EDT, drew an average of 380,000 viewers with a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic. While these numbers didn’t qualify for the prime-time charts, they would have placed the show in a tie for 10th place among cable broadcasts.

Compared to the previous Saturday’s Collision, the second portion of Fyter Fest experienced a 24.6% decrease in overall viewership and a 44.4% drop in the 18-49 demographic. Collision previously benefited from following “Inside the NBA” after an NBA playoff game, a different timeslot and circumstance than Fyter Fest.
Year-over-year, the first two hours of Fyter Fest/dynamite were down 17.1% in overall viewership and 35.9% in the 18-49 rating. The second two hours/Collision were down 2.1% in overall viewers and 23.1% in the 18-49 demographic. These figures do not include viewership on Max, where Dynamite and Collision are streamed separately.
What’s next
AEW will likely analyze these AEW ratings figures to strategize for upcoming shows, aiming to boost both Dynamite and Collision viewership in key demographics. The company will need to consider competition from other major sporting events and explore ways to maximize viewership across both linear television and streaming platforms.
