Kia presented its smallest electric car to date at the Brussels Motor Show. The EV2 measures 4.06 meters and is intended to be a new player in the four-meter class as a “city SUV”.
der EV2 wird mit zwei Batteriegrössen angeboten. Die Standardvariante mit 42,2 Kilowattstunden soll laut Hersteller eine Reichweite von bis zu 317 Kilometern ermöglichen. Die Long-Range-Version mit 61,0 kWh soll bis zu 448 Kilometer weit kommen.
an Schnellladestationen mit Gleichstrom lässt sich der Akku mit bis zu 120 Kilowatt in rund 30 Minuten von 10 auf 80 Prozent befüllen. neu ist ein On-Board-Charger, der auch Wechselstromladen mit 22 Kilowatt erlaubt. Das ist im B-Segment bislang selten und kann das Laden zu Hause oder an öffentlichen AC-Säulen deutlich beschleunigen.
Mit dabei sind auch bidirektionale Ladefunktionen: V2L (Vehicle to Load) für externe Geräte sowie V2G (Vehicle to Grid) zur Rückspeisung ins Netz, sofern die Infrastruktur dies unterstützt.
Kia Unveils High-Performance GT Versions of EV3, EV4, and EV5
Kia expanded its electric vehicle lineup in Brussels, introducing GT versions of the EV3, EV4, and EV5 models. These performance-focused trims promise increased power and a sportier driving experience, with production slated to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
Performance Specs
- EV3 GT & EV4 GT: both models deliver 215 kW (292 horsepower) and feature all-wheel drive with electronically controlled suspension.
- EV5 GT: This variant boasts 225 kW (306 horsepower) and incorporates a predictive damping system.
All three GT models distinguish themselves from their standard counterparts with aggressive styling cues, unique interior appointments, and larger wheels.
Enhanced Features
The GT models are built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, utilizing a 400-volt architecture similar to the EV3, EV4, and EV5. A range of advanced driver-assistance systems will be available,depending on the specific configuration.
The Kia EV5 GT is also expected to arrive in 2026.
