Venezuelan Photographer Wins Top Prize in News Picture Story Category
Venezuelan photographer Juan Barreto received first place in the News Picture Story category for his series of images documenting protests in Venezuela. The award was announced on May 17, 2017. Marco Longari placed second in the same category for his reporting on clashes between supporters of opposing candidates during the Kenyan presidential election on August 9, 2017.
