Ivory Coast topped their group in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying for the last 16 rounds as the group leader. cameroon finished second, and Mozambique secured a spot among the best third-placed teams, also advancing to the knockout stage.
Ivory CoastS qualification was highlighted by the performances of several players based in turkey’s Süper Lig. Kanga and Denis Bouanga were key contributors. christopher Operi (RAMS Başakşehir) and Christ Inao Oulai (Trabzonspor) both played the full 90 minutes in the decisive matches. Mario Lemina of Galatasaray also completed a full match for Gabon.
Cameroon defeated Mozambique 2-1. The winning goals came from Feliciano Jone, an own goal, and Christian Kofane. Mozambique’s sole goal was scored by Geny Catamo. Olivier Kemen (RAMS Başakşehir) also played the entire match for cameroon.
