Antonio Musella, a 51-year-old man, was killed in an ambush in the Ponticelli district of Naples during the night of May 11 and 12, 2026.

The attack occurred in the Lotto 6 area of the city’s eastern periphery. Musella was inside a vehicle when he was targeted by gunmen who fired at least five pistol shots.

Reporting from RaiNews indicates that Musella was a person with a criminal record and describes the killing as a Camorra-related murder.

While reports on the immediate aftermath vary, some sources indicate Musella died in a hospital following the ambush, while others report that police discovered the body in a van.

This incident follows a period of continued violence in the Ponticelli area. According to Il Mattino, the killing occurred approximately one month after the violent death of Fabio Ascione in the same district.
