the indian Army welcomed 402 new Agniveers into its ranks on June 4, 2025, following the completion of a demanding 31-week training programme. The Passing Out Parade and Attestation Ceremony for the 5th Agniveer Course took place at the Jamedar Lala Parade ground.
The intensive training, which ran from Nov. 1,2024,to June 4,2025,focused on developing tactical proficiency and physical endurance.Recruits honed their weapon handling, fieldcraft, and battle skills. Sports and professional competitions were incorporated to foster teamwork and camaraderie among the Agniveers.
A particularly challenging phase involved a week-long field camp under realistic conditions, requiring the Agniveers to be self-sufficient for 72 hours. The camp culminated in a grueling 40-kilometer “Josh Run,” designed to test their endurance and resolve.
Major General Anupam Baghi, additional director general of Rashtriya Rifles, reviewed the parade. Brigadier Jitendra Sharma,commandant of the Dogra Regimental Centre,along with officers,families,civil dignitaries,and parents of the Agniveers,attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, the young Agniveers pledged to serve the nation with pride and live up to the spirit and values of the Indian Army.
The Dogra Regimental Centre celebrated the integration of the 5th batch of Agniveers into various battalions of the Dogra Regiment.the Agniveer program aims to produce heroic and disciplined soldiers ready to uphold the nation’s values.
